The next clue pays homage to our Märzen style lagerbier "27 Lager". It is brewed during the cooler months of the year and is named after the primary road taking us from the coast to the mountains. Route 27 begins at Win's childhood hangout at the very end of the Town Landing Road on the southern most tip of Southport Island. Here you will find an impressive view of the Atlantic Ocean and our iconic Cuckolds Lighthouse. You will look out across Newagen Harbor and see a red house out on Cape Island. This was the home of the actress, Margaret Hamilton, who starred as the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz! Her family still owns this island, and one of the red shoes is in the Southport Island Hendricks Head Museum. To the right of the house in the distance is Maine's tallest lighthouse off the water, Seguin Island Light.
